Accu-Glass Products, Inc. offers two types of non-terminated fiber optic cable.  Both Polyimide and Aluminum buffered fibers are offered in either UV / VIS or NIS / NIR operating wavelengths.

 

  Polyimide Buffer Fiber is ideally suited for UHV environements and made with step index High-OH silica core, doped silica clad, and a polyimide buffer.  This fiber is supplies non-terminated.  Each fiber end is cleaved and NOT polished. The fiber has a numerical aperature of 0.22 ± 0.02 and a full acceptance cone angle of 25.4°.  Optical fiber has bee proof tested to 100 kpsi.

 

  Aluminum Buffer Fiber is ideally suited for UHV environements and made with step index High-OH silica core, doped silica clad, and a polyimide buffer.  This fiber is supplies non-terminated.  Each fiber end is cleaved and NOT polished. The fiber has a numerical aperature of 0.22 ± 0.02 and a full acceptance cone angle of 25.4°.
