AGP’s UHV, PEEK (polyether-ether-ketone), three and six pin Type Mil-C-5015 connectors are an adaptation of the Mil-DTL-5015 connector interface, which has been optimized for service in demanding ultrahigh vacuum environments. These vacuum compatible 5015 connectors do not employ the typical Mil-spec ‘threaded shell interface’ used on the airside of AGP’s 3 and 6 pin Mil-DTL-1505 feedthroughs; however, they do retain standard pin size, and position layouts as designated in the specification. These PEEK connectors are secured to their mating feedthrough by means of a captured (and vented) socket-head cap screw—like the Subminiature-C connector interface originally developed by AGP.
Customers wishing to build ‘DIY’ UHV circular 5015 type cable assemblies can purchase the PEEK connector components offered in this section, along with bulk UHV compatible Kapton insulated wire offered in our ‘Wire and Cable’ pages. To retain the feedthroughs current carrying capacity, AGP recommends using Kapton-insulated 18 AWG 19x .009 inch stranded wire with these connectors, see bulk-wire part number 100714 .
The required gold-plated male and female crimp style contacts are not included with Mil-C-5015 connectors and must be purchased separately for each connector. Ten-packs of Female contact part number 110701 , and Male contact part number 110700 are available for use with these connectors. Type T5p contact insertion, extraction, and crimping tools are also available to finish the job. If required, AGP also offers an extensive selection of wiring accessories and components to complement your in-vacuum wiring project.
Warning! — Wires must be threaded through 5015 connector back-piece before crimping contacts.
