UHV Sub C Connectors are available in either a PEEK (polyetheretherketone) polymer or Macor ceramic material, and both use the contacts listed below. Female connectors mate directly to vacuum and/or air-side of male Subminiature-C UHV feedthroughs or HV feedthroughs.
Caution: Note that cable leads must be threaded through connector back-piece before crimping contacts, as crimped contacts will not fit through back-piece holes.
Standard Contacts are made of a gold plated Copper alloy, and are recommended for use in both PEEK or Macor ceramic subminiature-C (sub-C) and subminiature-D connectors.
High Duty Cycle Contacts are "standard contacts" that have been reinforced with a stainless steel sleeve, which extends the contact's spring life. They're used in place of our standard contacts in applications requiring frequent and/or excessive plug/unplug cycles (3 or more cycles per day).
Tools for installation of the contacts are also listed below.
