Accu-Glass offers PEEK film and PEEK sheet material in convenient 6x6 and 12x12 inch squares, and .003, .005, .010, .250, .375, .500 and 1 inch thicknesses. PEEK (Polyether ether ketone) is a high performance polymer that’s tough, wear resistant, chemical and oil resistant, with very low liquid and moisture absorption. Its temperature rated to between -72°C and 250°C and well suited for vacuum environments down to the 1x10-10 Torr range. Please note that the PEEK materials offered in this section have no adhesive coatings. However, AGP does offer adhesive-coated tape made of Kapton film, if required for your application.
PEEK film is a semicrystalline thermoplastic film characterized by a distinct combination of properties. Properties that make it well-suited for applications in aerospace, electronics, chemical processing, healthcare, transportation, industrial vacuum, and ultrahigh vacuum environments used for scientific research. PEEK has a glass transition temperature of around 143°C and melts around 343°C. PEEK’s thermal conductivity increases nearly linearly with temperature between room temperature and its solidus temperature. It is highly resistant to thermal degradation, as well as to attack by both organic and aqueous environments, and has high resistance to biodegradation.
PEEK components are used in demanding applications, including bearings, piston parts, pumps, high-performance liquid chromatography columns, compressor plate valves, electrical connectors and cable insulation. It is one of the few plastics compatible with ultra-high vacuum applications, with excellent performance in the UHV and XHV, aerospace, and chemical industries. PEEK seals and manifolds are commonly used in fluid applications.
